New York “Bankees”
A couple years ago my ten-year-old grandson, Luke, said he heard that the New York Yankees were the best team in baseball.
I responded, “They are the best team money can buy.”
He answered, “They should not be called the New York Yankees. They
should be called the New York Bankees.”
I believe his label still fits.

It just seems right for the Angels to defeat the the Bankees, don’t you think? Seriously it seems the larger the payrolls the poorer the play. The turnstiles continue to whirl as records are broken in the steroids era. I like the old time players many of whom were farm boys and kids from small town America. They played for the love of the game.
